Grading and Evaluation
In our efforts to enable participants make an informed decision towards taking up the program we herein mention the details of the grading pattern. The participants are to undertake research assignments and write well researched essays in modules of their interest. Along with the other examinations and tests they are also expected to take the prior art search and patent drafting examinations followed by a patent opposition and a moot court assignment.
At the end of the course the participants will work on a dissertation of about 15000 words or take the final examination of equivalent marks.
Standard of Passing
A participant is required to secure a minimum of 50% marks to pass in any assignment or examination. A participant obtaining less than the minimum in any assignment is required to retake the assignment. Any participant not achieving 50% marks may not be awarded the diploma.
Grading
75% and above Distinction
65 - 74% First - Class
50 - 65% Second - Class
Below 50% Re-exam
On evaluation the participants would be awarded a Post Graduate Diploma in Patent Management. Attendance of all classroom sessions is must. Failure to attend a minimum of 75% of the sessions in a semester will result in the participant not being awarded the diploma.
